UFC Superman Punches Us With Six Minutes Of Gameplay

UFC is absolutely one of my most anticipated titles of the year, the dynamic gameplay coupled with some of the best looking graphics seen on any console have my hype levels at 9000. With previews being posted around the net today, EA drops a six minute gameplay video for all of us to nibble on.

From the first couple of seconds you can see the level of detail put into the character models, everything from skin shading to fine hairs on the fighters bring them scarily close to their real-life counterparts. Facial animations and sound truly make you feel like you are watching a UFC fight, they’ve even added some really cool fly-overs of the Octagon that make the pre-fight intros super dramatic looking.

One thing that did stick out to me while watching the footage was how fast the fight looked, almost unrealistically so. It could have been all the motion blur or the clipping of character’s limbs, but something felt a little off. At one point everything looks spot on, then a second later movement seems sped up to a degree that pulls you out out of the experience. Let’s hope some of those issues can be fixed via options you can change.

All in all i’m still super excited for the title and can’t wait to get my hands on it. UFC drops on June 14th of this year.

Definitely agree about that weird speed the game seems to run at, those knee kicks are faster than stuff I’ve seen in Dragon Ball Z!

Yeah it’s a little weird how fast they look, and when they connect they kind of do this weird wobbly thing.
